1902 – 1985
Rafael Paya founded Paya in 1902. He produced his first toy and, together with his sons, developed the company to become the equal of the major German and French companies by developing a large number of toys. Many of these toys were not branded.
Production was nationalised and came to a halt at the start of the civil war, only to resume in 1946.
From 1985, transformed into a cooperative, the company published reproductions of its best toys from before 1937.
