Over-the-air television

In the 1960s, television broadcasters installed television cameras on board aeroplanes and helicopters in order to capture aerial footage of sporting events; helicopters proved to be the preferred choice thanks to their ability to hover.

 

Here are two toy aeroplanes from the 1960s; the cameraman is filming with his camera from the cockpit.
